The mission of the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) is to provide federal leadership to reduce violence against women, and to administer justice for and strengthen services to all victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. The mission of the International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN) is to provide leadership in forensic nursing practice by developing, promoting, and disseminating information internationally about forensic nursing science.

The mission of the National Center for Victims of Crime (NCVC) is to forge a national commitment to help victims of crime rebuild their lives. They are dedicated to serving individuals, families, and communities harmed by crime.

The National Judicial Education Program (NJEP) educates judges, attorneys, and justice system professionals about the ways in which gender bias can undermine fairness in criminal, civil, family, and juvenile law. NJEP has a particular focus on sexual assault cases and cases involving intersection of sexual assault and domestic violence. NJEP creates resources and provides training on these issues to promote the fair adjudication of these cases.

National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) serves as the nation’s principle information and resource center regarding all aspects of sexual violence. It provides national leadership, consultation and technical assistance by generating and facilitating the development and flow of information on sexual violence intervention and prevention strategies. The NSVRC works to address the causes and impact of sexual violence through collaboration, prevention efforts and the distribution of resources.

The Illinois Attorney General’s Office is the state’s chief legal officer and is responsible for protecting the public interest of the state and its people. The job of the Attorney General is to advocate on behalf of all the people of Illinois; legislate with members of the General Assembly for new laws; and litigate to ensure state laws are followed and respected. The Attorney General provides services that cover a broad range of issues, reaching every corner of Illinois.

The Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) is a police research and policy organization and a provider of management services, technical assistance, and executive-level education to support law enforcement agencies. PERF helps to improve the delivery of police services through the exercise of strong national leadership; public debate of police and criminal justice issues; and research and policy development.
