Varsha is an international speaker, Mayo Clinic-trained Wellness Coach, and founder of ROAR Training Consulting, LLC (Reflect, Observe, Analyze, and Respond®). The mission of ROAR T&C® is to bring awareness on key social issues and provide professionals with tools to enhance services for diverse populations. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University and later received her Juris Doctorate. She provides training for professionals, police, judges, lawyers, military, students, and others on diversity, bias, domestic violence, and sexual assault, both nationally and around the world (Spain, Australia, Italy, Rwanda, India, etc.).

Varsha has served as a domestic violence/sexual assault advocate in hospital settings and on a 24-hour crisis helpline. She has worked with diverse populations from countries across the world, including Somalia, Nepal, Sierra Leon, Iraq, Russia, and Ethiopia. She has received training through Harvard Medical School’s Program in Global Mental Health Refugee Trauma, as well as additional training and enhanced skills around wellness and stress reduction through the Mayo Clinic and the Yale School of Medicine’s Stress Center. As a Mayo Clinic-trained Wellness Coach, she addresses a variety of issues including stress reduction, communication, health, and wellness goals.

Varsha has served on the Los Angeles Police Department DNA Taskforce, as well as the United Nations Advisory Council for Women in Los Angeles, California. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for End Violence Against Women International (EVAWI), and is Co-Chair of the Los Angeles Domestic Violence Council’s Religion and Domestic Violence Committee. In addition, she is part of a select group of individuals hosting radio shows, bringing diverse voices to community radio through intentional recruitment, training, and facilitation of production.
