Rose Luna is the Chief Executive Officer at the Texas Association Against Sexual Assault (TAASA). She has been with TAASA for over 18 years and has served the agency in a variety of roles before becoming CEO in September of 2017. Ms. Luna has led TAASA to become an influential authority on sexual assault through public policy, coalition building, and putting survivors first. Ms. Luna is a seasoned advocate and revered speaker, trainer, and writer as her work has been shared statewide and nationally. She serves on the steering committee of the inaugural sexual assault survivor task force at the Texas Governor’s Office, she is President of the Board of the Texas Victim’s Service Association, as well as a member of the Texas Evidence Collection Protocol advisory board. Ms. Luna’s direct service experience in addition to her business operations and marketing background make for a beautiful intersection of effective leadership and change.
Ms. Luna hails from Bartlett, Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and completed a Master’s degree in Leadership and Change at St. Edward’s University. She served as a research fellow with the Institute of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault at University of Texas at Austin and has been invited to present at statewide, national, and international organizations as well as universities and military installations across the country.
