Pete Lewis, MS, is a retired superintendent of the Colville School District in Washington State. He began his career in education in 1982, with highlights that include: promoting a safe environment for students, staff, and administration; improved graduation rates and student achievement; and increased parent and community involvement. Cultivating a safe culture for students has always been at the forefront of Lewis’s work, this required working with multiple community agencies to provide wraparound services to students. In addition, Lewis maintained a sustainable budget, facilitated multiple bond and levy campaigns, and sought and retained grant funding to enhance student improvement efforts. He has dedicated his entire educational career to helping young people succeed and making the world a better place.

Lewis joined the Board of Directors for End Violence Against Women International (EVAWI) in 2018. He went on to serve as the Vice President of Board Development beginning in 2022, before assuming the role of Board President in 2023.
