Nadine Ebanks, MSN, APRN, SANE, and Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, is the Lead Nurse Practitioner at Nancy J. Cotterman Center (NJCC), Broward County’s Certified Rape Crisis and Child Advocacy Center. Ms. Ebanks provides forensic medical examinations to victims of child abuse and neglect, and to sexual assault survivors of all ages. With her dedication and passion to serve, decrease disparities, and promote equity to all survivors, Ms. Ebanks helps lead the team at NJCC as a one-stop program for survivors. She recently initiated the agency’s provision of free medications to survivors receiving the medical forensic exam. Before joining NJCC, Ms. Ebanks practiced for 20 years at the bedside, the first 10 years in cardiac specialty care unit, and the second 10 working in obstetrics and providing transitional care of newborns. She is currently finishing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree at Missouri State University and will be graduating in Spring 2022.
