Abuse in Later Life Program Coordinator, National Clearinghouse on Abuse in Later Life


is the Abuse in Later Life Program Coordinator at the National Clearinghouse on Abuse in Later Life (NCALL). In this role, Martie is responsible for overall coordination of training and technical assistance activities for the Office on Violence Against Women’s Abuse in Later Life Grant Program recipients. She provides training to OVW grantees and other entities in the abuse in later life field and works on special projects.

Martie has an extensive background in case management, grant development and management, public/behavioral health, and collaborative team development. In developing and providing technical assistance to these interagency teams, Martie focused on topics including elder abuse, drug endangered children, domestic violence and sexual violence. As a social worker in a long-term care facility, Martie was responsible for the psychosocial assessment of its residents. She graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and has worked in the social services field for 40 years. Martie currently lives and works in Nevada.
