Kira-Lynn Ferderber is a feminist rapper and violence prevention educator. Combining her experience as a touring performing artist and a bystander intervention instructor, Ms. Ferderber has created multiple successful international initiatives training staff, volunteers, and musicians to help make bars and festivals safer for girls, women, and everyone. With a particular focus on anti-racist approaches to bystander intervention for sexual violence prevention and response, Ms. Ferderber is a sought-after subject matter expert, consulting on these topics and frequently appearing in print, radio, and television news stories. They are also an award-winning writer, publishing on topics such as hip-hop, spirituality, accessibility, and public transit. Ms. Ferderber is a new immigrant to America, now based in Sarasota, Florida, where she works with students seeking to reduce violence on their campuses. Central to her solidarity work is the knowledge that injustice cannot be ended without respect for sex workers, teenage girls, and gender nonconformists.
