Joanna Klingenstein is a Research Associate at the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education at Case Western Reserve University. She serves on research projects related to gender-based violence and criminal justice. Prior to this, Ms. Klingenstein worked in various social work settings including foster care, children services, and residential treatment for juvenile sexual offenders. In these positions, she focused on crisis intervention, risk and safety assessment, and familial and kinship reconciliation. Her educational background is in religious studies, counseling, and the arts.
