Jessica Mindlin, Esq., directs the Victim Rights Law Center (VRLC) national team that mentors, advises, and supports lawyers, advocates, SANEs and other responders to advance the legal rights of survivors of gender-based violence. Ms. Mindlin is also the Director of the VRLC’s Oregon office, which provides legal services to sexual assault survivors (as well as technical assistance). Ms. Mindlin has trained thousands of lawyers, law students, and other providers across the US, in the Middle East, South America, and the East Caribbean and as an Adjunct Professor of Law. Ms. Mindlin has worked as an anti-violence advocate, an alternatives worker with indigent youth and adult defendants, a residential counselor for runaway teens, and a waitress. She’s been honored by the American Bar Association, National Sexual Violence Resource Center, and the Oregon Daily Journal of Commerce as Leader in the Law, among others. Ms. Mindlin is passionate about supporting survivor-centered services and considers it a privilege to do this work.
