Assistant District Attorney
Jessica Escue has been an Assistant District Attorney with the Brazos County District Attorney’s Office since 2007 and currently serves as the Chief of the Family Violence Unit. During her career, she has prosecuted hundreds of offenses ranging from misdemeanors to capital murder, with a special passion for cases involving domestic violence, stalking, and sexual assault. Ms. Escue has taught courses on investigating and prosecuting domestic violence and sexual assault cases throughout the State of Texas, including for the Texas Municipal Police Association, Texas District and County Attorney’s Association, the State Bar of Texas, and the national Conference on Crimes Against Women. In addition, she is the project coordinator for the Lethality Assessment Program implemented in Brazos County, a guest lecturer with the Texas A&M College of Nursing Forensic Nursing Program, and teaches Human Trafficking, Sexual Assault, and Domestic Violence at the TEEX Central Police Academy.
