Erin Pollitt

Executive Director, District of Columbia Forensic Nurse Examiners

Erin Pollitt is the Executive Director of District of Columbia Forensic Nurse Examiners (DCFNE), a nonprofit in Washington DC that provides trauma-informed, patient-centered care to survivors of sexual, intimate partner, and domestic violence. A nurse by profession with over a decade of experience, Erin has practiced as a forensic nurse examiner since 2011. Erin’s work has received recognition from a number of sources including the International Association of Forensic Nurses, Baltimore Magazine, and the Maryland Daily Record. Her article Alternate Light Source Findings of Common Topical Products was named Research Article of the Year by the Journal of Forensic Nursing. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Erin is an active member of the International Association of Forensic Nurses and is the Immediate Past President of the Maryland-DC Chapter. Erin holds a Masters of Healthcare Administration degree from the University of Maryland University College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Stevenson University. She achieved SANE-A Certification in 2014.
