Emma Mannion
Survivor
Emma Katherine Mannion is a sexual assault survivor and advocate. She grew up in Pembroke, New Hampshire until she left to pursue a college education in dance and philosophy at the University of Alabama in 2016. She returned home to New Hampshire a mere four months later after being raped, accused of falsifying her report, and arrested. Emma Katherine is a strong advocate for those who were not believed. She continues to fight for her truth to be heard and to regain her voice. She shares her story in the hopes of empowering those around her. She currently resides in Rochester, New Hampshire where she is accomplishing her life-long goal as the Owner and Director of a local dance studio. Dance education is not just about the sport itself, but all that comes with it. Emma Katherine hopes to share not only dance lessons, but life lessons with all who walk through her studio door by showing her students the necessity of verbal consent, the power of advocating for themselves, and the strength of self-love.
