Christina Yannetsos, MD, is a Board-certified emergency medicine physician and assistant professor of medicine at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. She earned her medical degree and attended residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She is the Medical Director for UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital’s Forensic Examiner Program that cares for all patients affected by violence. Dr. Yannetsos also is co-director of the Women Physician in Emergency Curriculum for the Denver Health Emergency Medicine Residency. She previously was a full-time National Team USA Judo athlete who qualified the -70kg division for the 2004 Olympics, and a full-time undergraduate student at University of Colorado, Colorado Springs majoring in Biology. She volunteers her time as National Team Physician for USA Judo, Team USA Physician for 2020 Olympics, and USA Judo’s Medical Advisory Chair. She helped co-found and is a board member of Colorado Fertility Advocates, a nonprofit with a focus on education, setting fertility industry standards and advocacy for Coloradans facing infertility. She continues to volunteer her time with RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association, and has served as a state Captian, and continues to advocate for family friendly fertility legislation at the federal level. Her work includes Health Policy, Injury Prevention, Concussion, and Infertility advocacy.
